Jaangle music player and organiser software

Music is my passion and I'm on a continuous lookout for music players and music managers. And one sunny day i stumbled upon Jaangle (Teen Spirit back then).




Jaangle is an open source music player and manager and is released under Open source (GPL) license. It is Microsoft Windows only application and it runs on Windows XP and later versions of Windows. Sadly it doesn't run on Linux under WINE.

Jaangle is a feature pack music machine. Here are some of it's main features

• Jaangle can play  mp3, mp2, wma, cda, ogg, mp1, aiff, xm, it, s3m, mod, mtm, umx, mo3, mpc, flac, mid, midi, ac3, mp4, ape, m4a, mpg, avi, mpeg, wmv, mp4 and more based on directshow filters installed.
•  It reads and writes tag data from mp3, wma, mpc, ogg and flac.
•  You can view your collection in various ways like Artists / Album, Year / Albums and more. Sorting is also available for every item type.
•  By default, Jaangle, automatically downloads information from various sources in web. In specific for version 0.93 it is able to download from Amazon (Album covers / Album reviews) LastFm (Artist Bio / Artist photo / Album covers) and Google (Track lyrics).
• Advanced Searching.
• Visualizations.
• Auto DJ mode.
• Keyboard Shortcuts.
• Skins.
• Portable Version available.
